![]() Lots to tell you about this week! As a brief catch-up of recent times, we've completely redesigned the homepage in a bid to make it more attractive and to evoke positive memories of gaming mags of the nineties. We've got a new writer in Chris Weatherley, who has not only got up and running with 8-bit/16-bit era reviews, but designed a host of stonking logos and banners for the site. So lately we've covered a pair of Lego games, an unexpected return to form for Driver, a launch title for Amstrad's GX4000 and a retrospective on the console itself. ![]() And to finish, a bit of current gaming news: today we learned that Broken Sword creators Revolution Software are to begin work on a sequel to cult-classic 1994 adventure Beneath A Steel Sky (the original is available for FREE on GoG here). It's being developed for PC and iOS variants, with possible console versions also being considered (we think most likely in downloadable form via the various networks/stores). Crowdfunding success (garnering around $800,000 in fan donations) is said to have buoyed the developer, with BASS2 now slated to enter development after the completion of the forthcoming Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse. We've missed our cyberpunk dystopias, and so it goes without saying, we're really looking forward to this one! - Tom

And this week, Retro City Rampage reminds us what GTA has been missing for the last few years, whilst Gordon Freeman's back in the tantalising Black Mesa... |
