My wife is due to give birth to our second child on the 3rd September. This is pretty significant as it means it gives me around five days to play and complete (and probably write a review on) the new Chaos Engine release before I’m up to my elbows in nappies and shit again. That’s right, confirmation that The Chaos Engine will be released on the 29th August has been given; it’s currently up on Steam for pre-order at the tidy sum of £6.29. The team behind the ‘restoration’ have also released the first in-game screenshots and they look just as Neil McKenna suggested in the questions and answers session we had recently. This is The Chaos Engine that former Amiga owners know so very well with just some minor graphical tweaks (which can be turned off in game if you don’t like them). So pretty much an Amiga game being released for the PC! I’m pretty sure this is what heaven probably looks like. Now, can someone do the same for Turrican and Turrican 2?

Anyway, cannot wait for my nodes to be activated on the 29th. Neither should you. £6.29 is peanuts. You know what to do.
