REVIEWS | WATARA SUPERVISION
Fourth generation | 1992-1996 | Cartridge
Games: 65 | Units sold: unknown
Watara’s Supervision was a portable system targeted at the budget market, with both hardware and software selling at around half the price of Nintendo’s Game Boy. In its original guise, the Supervision sported a tilting screen, before an updated “brick-style” model released in certain territories. It supported a device allowing gamers to play on a TV screen, with inverted colours. The Supervision struggled to gain a foothold amid a busy handheld market, with modest specs and persistent sprite flickering.
